VOLUNTEERING & CHARITABLE GIVING PROGRAM

We recognize it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help enrich our surrounding communities. We encourage our people to become involved by volunteering in programs that positively impact the quality of life within these local communities.

  • Our Volunteering Culture Hub organizes company-wide volunteering events and fundraising activities, alongside our charity of the year. They encourage and support us to get involved in local communities and also participate in our education community activities, either through participating in our university partner open days, career workshops or seminars, or through supporting work experience placements.
  • Our Volunteering Time-Off (VTO) encourages paid time off for both individual and company-wide volunteering events during the work day. Our Volunteer Time Off program encourages our people to take volunteer time during the work day, a minimum requirement of once a quarter. We’re also committed to doing company-wide volunteering events every quarter.
  • Intentional about sharing recommended reading, articles, imagery, etc and representing Worbank’s brand as supportive of JEDI principles.
  • Offering internship and work experience programs that target underrepresented populations to increase opportunities.
  • Volunteering and charitable donations to JEDI-vetted organizations.
  • Provide action and advocacy opportunities aligned with our JEDI ethos (voting rights, body autonomy, social justice, etc.).
  • Encouraging voting through our Make Time to Vote program with time off for voting and sharing educational materials. We believe that every voice matters, and the best way to speak up for your values is through your ballot.

Our 2023/2024 impact:

  • Wordbankers volunteered 650 hours at over 20 non-profits across the US and UK.
  • 25% of our team took advantage of our VTO program.
  • We fundraised and donated to 8 non-profits (National Abortion Federation, Almost Home Adoptions, CNHA Kako’o Maui, Metro Caring, Columbus Dog Connection, Mind.org, Italian Red Cross charity donation, Sewa UK Charitable Org, PBIC Bedford).
  • 24% of our client roster was purpose-driven (representing 11% of our global revenue).
