VIDEO & MOTION GFX SPECIALIST II

THE ROLE
Wordbank is seeking an intermediate level videographer/editor with strong GFX skills and a passion for visualizing and telling stories through motion. The role is available for immediate hire in the Denver, CO area.
As a Video/Motion Graphics Specialist II you will shoot, edit, and animate dynamic, on-trend, short to mid form video & motion GFX content for our clients and partners, while also supporting Wordbank’s internal stakeholders and social presence.
Additionally, the successful candidate will consult on client video needs, build motion GFX from scratch (or reverse engineer client-supplied motion GFX projects), subtitle video and motion content, and will engage in video/motion projects, pitches, pilots, and beyond.

While the work is hybrid, the candidate should plan on working at least 3 days a week within our Denver office.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Key responsibilities:
- Concept/Film/Edit/Animate engaging video and motion GFX content that tells Wordbank’s and our client’s brand stories; doing so from concept through delivery in an efficient, timely manner.
- Exercise strong motion GFX skills to support our video/motion localization efforts.
- Reverse engineer and streamline motion GFX projects.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop dynamic video and/or motion GFX-driven content for use in training, pitches, general communications, and beyond.
- Regularly deliver dynamic, highly engaging motion content with efficiency on tight timelines.
- Understand story structure, and bring clearly defined, engaging stories to life through video and motion GFX.
- Work with the Director of Creative and/or other Creative team members to build out reliable and repeatable processes and workflows to further streamline AV production at Wordbank.
- Juggle multiple projects at different stages of production with ease and finesse, while hitting deadlines with creative integrity and professionalism.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
ESSENTIAL
- 3-5 years of consistent real-world, on-the-job experience in videography and video editing with demonstrable, advanced motion graphics skills using After Effects is a must for consideration. Candidates should feel comfortable in all three disciplines (Motion GFX, Videography, Editing).
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Film/Video Production, Motion GFX Design, or related design field is a bonus but not required. We are all humans – tell us your story.
- Regarding motion GFX, the successful candidate can demonstrate through examples their ability to create clean, dynamic motion projects from scratch.
- Regarding videography, the successful candidate can demonstrate through examples their proficiency in videography, lighting, and live audio capture; especially in capturing dynamic, well-lit, on-trend interview content with clean/solid audio and creative corporate-style B-Roll using tripod, slider and gimbal options.
- Adobe Creative Suite skills are a baseline requirement:
- Excellence in After Effects with the ability to build complex text-centric, animated projects from scratch; quickly reverse-engineer, cleanup and simplify external AE Collects.
- Proficient in Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with Maxon One software, Cinema 4D in particular; experienced in using standard third-party plug-ins such as Universe, Boris Continuum, and Sapphire Effects.
- Experience working in Davinci Resolve is a bonus; a reliable foundation in color correction best practices is preferable.
- An understanding of aspect ratios utilized in film and on social media is required, as well as the ability to resize video content to platform requirements, understanding the best practices when doing so; similarly for frame rates and audio bit rates.
- A basic but firm grasp on transcoding and encoding, codecs, and why and when to use the many varying camera options for video capture, editing, and export is important to the role.
- A basic understanding of subtitling, related software, and subtitling best practices is preferable, though not required.
- Proficiency in 2 CH, 6 CH/Surround, multi-channel audio in video/audio editing and sound design is preferred.
- The successful candidate understands and speaks the language of visual composition, motion, color, and sound design; especially how these elements work together to tell a compelling story within an engaging and impactful visual experience.
- Strong organizational and media management skills are a requirement.
- Candidate demonstrates natural office etiquette and strong written and verbal communication skills.
DESIRABLE
- 3D motion experience is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Google business productivity tools is a bonus.

SALARY & BENEFITS
$65,000.00- $75,000.00/ annually
(Below benefits are for FT workers. Limited benefits are offered to part-time staff)
