Six months to permanent
You’ll be working on typesetting and file engineering projects across a range of file types and processes. Think foreign-language typesetting, subtitling, social media assets, websites and more.
You’ll be assessing jobs as they come in, providing an estimate of costs and timings (for Media services), checking the quality of the output files, making corrections where necessary and creating localized assets yourself, too.
You’ll be responsible for supporting our freelance typesetters and artworkers: briefing, co-ordinating, checking their work and providing feedback.
And you’ll learn how to prepare and re-engineer video files for localization, including subtitles. As well as diving into the world of visual assets for social media and web. Our Media services are wide-ranging and developing constantly. An enthusiasm for learning on the job is essential.
This isn’t a creative design role, but there will be opportunities to get involved in the creative side of things. There will also be opportunities to support digital activities for website optimization, leveraging technical skills to make changes to client websites and implementing optimization recommendations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of foreign-language typesetting. Plus a love of languages, an eye for detail, good communication skills and in-depth experience of the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of website architecture and standard markup languages such as HTML and XML is preferred.
The role is available immediately. If you think you have what it takes, or want to find out more about the role, please send your CV and covering letter to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
