We recognize it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help enrich our surrounding communities. We encourage our people to become involved by volunteering in programs that positively impact the quality of life within these local communities.

Volunteer Time Off Program

Our Volunteer Time Off program encourages our people to take 4-5 hours per month of volunteer time during the work day. We’re also committed to doing company-wide volunteering events every quarter. In 2018, 65% of our team took advantage of our VTO program, logging an impressive 196 hours (170 hours more than 2017)! We volunteered at 13 non-profits in Colorado, Michigan, and Georgia.

Make Time to Vote

Our people are naturally globally informed and big-picture thinkers – that’s just an essential part of who we are and why we do what we do. Because voting is a civic responsibility and a precious democratic right, we take that seriously as part of our company culture and our commitment to business as a force for good. We believe that every voice matters, and the best way to speak up for your values is through your ballot.

In 2018, we achieved 100% Wordbanker voter turnout in the midterm elections. We also committed to supporting the Time to Vote movement.

Local Commitment

As a small business, supporting other small, local businesses is part of our best practice. We prioritize working with companies who are within 50 miles of our office, are women- or minority-owned, certified B Corps, businesses who are environmentally friendly, sustainable, organic, non-GMO, and fair-trade. To support these efforts, we’ve put local purchasing guidelines into place and made a commitment to evaluating our supply network. In 2018, 67% of our vendors were owned locally or by women/minorities.
