Wordbank’s Creative Development Specialist role is for someone with an eye for detail and a comprehensive knowledge of responsive web and digital design best practices. You’re an expert at executing and optimizing Adobe XD/Figma design files, and have the ability to effectively communicate with project managers and provide constructive feedback to other designers. Understanding and aligning deliverables in all project phases to guidelines is one of your strengths, and you’re a proactive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, effectively, and prioritize your workload with direction from your team leads. You have a keen eye for detail, a ‘can do’ attitude, are organized, and communicative. This individual thrives in executing against clearly defined processes and deliverables while consistently meeting provided deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
  • Create designs from scratch for an array of digital platforms in Adobe CS
  • Web design work in Adobe XD/Figma against responsive best practices
  • Ensure design deliverables align to client brand guidelines.
  • Implementing in-house revisions as needed based on client/QA feedback.
  • Create templates for digital design formats.
WEB DESIGN QA
  • Ensure design/copy deliverables align to SOW and best practices
  • Review and optimize web design files against responsive best practices
  • Review and optimize web design files against responsive best practices
  • Strategically review resource delivered materials to ensure files and content are brand-aligned from an aesthetic and strategic perspective.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Coordinate with internal teams and PMs to ensure the timely delivery of digital design assets against project deadlines.
  • Develop + maintain client brand assets and cloud content libraries for design and development assets and materials.
SCOPING
  • Support in the assessment and scoping process for digital design and development projects.
DEVELOPMENT
  • Support as able to do so when implementing development projects (emails, site updates, content modifications, html banners, etc.)
  • Implement development edits and revisions.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Educated at a relevant college degree level or the equivalent in industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of common responsive web design and email best practices ie: mobile, tablet, desktop, dark mode, etc.)
  • Experience in designing in tandem with a development team / developer for web outputs.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and ability to code HTML5 assets for digital placements.
  • Familiarity with popular client platforms for development outputs across CMS and email channels (WordPress, Mailchimp, Pardot, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge in designing and optimizing responsive web + HTML designs in Adobe XD + Figma.
  • Strong ability to develop designs from scratch as needed in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects + InDesign)
  • Ability to animate assets in Adobe AfterEffects is a plus.
  • Experience executing against detailed client brand guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, and provide constructive design feedback in a digestible manner.
  • Experience prioritizing workloads and maintaining a level of adaptability to meet the demands of an agency model.
  • Prior experience in working in project management tools such as JIRA and Monday is a plus.

SALARY & BENEFITS

$75,000- 80,000 annual base salary + benefits (quarterly bonuses after 12 months, health insurance, 401k, life, 18 days PTO etc)
