BUYING FROM

While we are a service business reliant on human talent to do what we do, we still have to buy stuff to run our business. From office supplies to service providers, it matters to us where we spend our business dollars. Here are some of the things we’re doing to Vote Every Day:

  • Sustainable farming is better for people and the environment, so from coffee to office snacks, we buy organic, fair trade, non-GMO products for our break room.
  • We believe it’s important to reduce toxins in the environment and to minimize exposure of our people to harmful chemicals. Our eco-friendly cleaning products come from companies like Grab Green, Meyer’s Clean Day, and Seventh Generation.
  • Our paper products are made from 100% recycled paper, and we try to minimize the amount of waste we produce by reusing, recycling, and composting.
  • When it comes to the suppliers themselves, we’re proactively switching to companies with sustainable and ethical business practices, such as boxed.com, which has a phenomenal reputation for the way they treat their people, and grove.co, a B Corp with a commitment to the environment.

In the coming year, we’ll be looking at all our service providers, from healthcare to banking, payroll to 401k. It matters to us how the companies we do business with operate and what they stand for.

As a company that helps organizations grow internationally, our goal is to help companies that are best for the world. We’ve made a formal commitment to grow our client base among organizations who share our values. More than 45% of our clients have a CSR-rating (corporate and social responsibility rating) of good or better. Our aim is to increase that to 55% and keep it growing. We Vote Every Day by caring about the source of our income and what the companies that buy our services stand for.
